Epic Games recently announced that their newest game, Apex Legends would be coming to Steam and Xbox One in 2019. The company also revealed a Fortnite-style battle royale mode called Royale Smash as well as an exclusive Battle Pass with new heroes every week.
The “persona games” are a series of role-playing video games developed by Atlus. The three titles that will be released on Xbox and PC are Persona 5, Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight, and Persona 4 Golden.
Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 3 Portable are coming to PC, Xbox One, Series X|S, and Game Pass, according to Atlus. The news was made during the Summer Games Fest 2022 Xbox and Bethesda Showcase.
For October 21, 2022, Persona 5 Royal will be published on all platforms, together with all previously released DLC. Atlus is being tight-lipped on the release dates for Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable with “improved visuals” at the moment, but more information will be provided later.
In our reviews of Persona 5 Royal, which was published in October 2019 for the PlayStation 4, we praised the game’s plot, characters, quality-of-life enhancements, translation, and aesthetics. It often appears on lists of the “greatest RPGs.” Along with a lot of other noteworthy additions to Persona 5, Royal expands the cast of characters. It was initially exclusive to the PlayStation.
Persona 4 Golden is a beefed-up version of Persona 4, which was first released for the PlayStation 2 in 2008 before being released for the PlayStation Vita in 2012 and the PlayStation 3 in 2014. It’s interesting that Golden isn’t available on current PlayStation systems; it was only made available on PC in 2020.
Having been published in North America on the PlayStation Portable in 2010, Persona 3 Portable is likewise presently absent from the current range of PlayStation consoles. It too is an improved version of Persona 3, a PS2 JRPG released in 2006.
