Dolphins Reach New Lows That Prove There are More Issues than Tua Tagovailoa and not Even Deshaun Watson can Fix it

The NFL is now in its third week of the regular season with two games per team. How are they doing so far? The Dolphins have been one of the worst teams out there, but just how bad has it really gotten for them?

The “latest on deshaun watson” is a story about how the Dolphins have reached new lows that prove there are more issues than Tua Tagovailoa and not even Deshaun Watson can fix it.

Last December, the Miami Dolphins were one win away from a postseason berth. Despite the fact that the Dolphins have just one victory through the first seven weeks of the season, they have discussed dealing quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

The offense has struggled mightily, while the defense has regressed significantly from last season. Everyone is aware of the Deshaun Watson trade speculations involving Miami, which might take place at any time.

However, this squad has many more problems than Tagovailoa, and head coach Brian Flores may be running out of time in Florida.

The Dolphins’ problems are serious, and they aren’t likely to go away anytime soon.

It’s not just about the offensive. But first, let’s get this out of the way.

The figures aren’t encouraging. Through seven weeks, Miami ranks 29th in points per game, 20th in passing yards, and second to last in rushing yards. They’ve struggled to move the ball, albeit some of that is due to Tua’s injury and Jacoby Brissett’s failure to take up the slack.

Mike Gesicki, a tight end, is the team’s top receiver with 427 yards and two touchdowns. Jaylen Waddle, a rookie, has ramped up the pace and is right behind him. Alabama’s standout has a team-high 44 receptions for 384 yards and three touchdowns, and he’ll likely overtake Gesicki shortly.

However, the running game has been abysmal. Myles Gaskin leads the way with 243 yards on the rushes but no touchdowns. Malcolm Brown has gotten more action recently, but he still has just 125 yards and one running touchdown.

The Dolphins have only scored three times on the ground, two of which came from quarterback Ryan Tannehill. Tua’s offensive line isn’t helping matters either. In only four games, he’s been sacked five times, and Brissett has been sacked 12 times, including two games with three sacks.

The Dolphins offense has a lot of flaws, and although Deshaun Watson rumors are still circulating, even he won’t be able to cure all of them.

Miami’s defense hasn’t helped matters.

The Dolphins are the only club in the @NFL that is rated in the bottom five in both scoring offense and defense.

And they’re the only club in the bottom five in both total offense and total defense.

Isn’t it true that defense wins championships?

Miami’s defense, on the other hand, has been terrible. Interceptions were 25th, sacks were 27th, and points against were second-to-last. None of those figures are promising, and Miami is concerned about the team’s six consecutive defeats.

This club has lost games against the Jacksonville Jaguars and Atlanta Falcons in the last two weeks. The Buffalo Bills are up next, followed by an easier matchup against the Houston Texans.

With the exception of a win against the New England Patriots last week, Miami’s defense has given up 20 or more points in every game.

There are several concerns on this roster, and it’s difficult to believe Miami was only one win away from an AFC playoff berth less than a year ago.

This issue requires a complete revamp, which not even Deshaun Watson can provide.

According to the Houston Chronicle The Dolphins and Texans have reached an agreement on Watson’s trade parameters, but the Dolphins want his legal troubles rectified before finalizing the move (good luck with that). According to the Chronicle, Ross is seeking clarification from Goodell on the duration of any prospective ban (good luck with that)

While Watson’s addition in a hypothetical trade might be beneficial, he can’t even help this club. Tua has ramped it up in the last two weeks, while the legal difficulties surrounding Watson’s playing status remain murky.

Head coach Brian Flores might be in for an unpleasant awakening if this club doesn’t get back on track.

If they don’t address this, things in Miami might become a lot worse, and although Tua has struggled, there are a lot more problems than a second-year starting quarterback.

Pro Football Reference provided the statistics.

Deshaun Watson is said to have yet to be traded to the Miami Dolphins because to the uncertainty surrounding his legal issues.
